Lexington, KY – New tenants Tony’s Steak and Seafood and apparel retailer Alumni Hall have signed leases to join the growing new tenant line up at The Square in Downtown Lexington.
Work is currently underway in both tenant spaces, as the Cincinnati-based upscale restaurant, and Knoxville-based licensed college apparel store are targeting opening for the Holiday Season.
The fourth quarter openings of these two new tenants will join Urban Outfitters, which has scheduled their opening for October 20th, and Pies & Pints – a nationally recognized pizzeria – which is slated to open in November. Tony’s Steak and Seafood will be a two-level restaurant occupying 10,214sf. This successful Cincinnati-based restaurant is open for dinner daily, and serves aged, all natural American beef cut and trimmed in-house as well as fresh seafood selections and outstanding raw bar.

Alumni Hall will be the second Lexington location for this 17-store merchant, occupying 3000 square feet and features collegiate apparel, merchandise and gifts. “Kentucky fans are the most loyal out there, and we knew that a second Lexington location was in our future,” said Jeff Goodfriend, Owner of Alumni Hall. “When the opportunity came available to have a store right across from Rupp Arena in the Square, we didn’t hesitate! It’s THE place to be on game days. As a UK merchandise retailer, we’re excited to be part of that experience.” Tony’s Steak & Seafood, Alumni Hall, Urban Outfitters, and Pies & Pints will join existing tenants Saul Good (open since Fall 2013), Sincerely Yours (relocated within the project), The Explorium, The Children’s Theater, Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau. The project in downtown Lexington was rebranded ‘The Square’ earlier this year. It was formerly known as Victorian Square. Listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings, The Square is a multi-story, 140,000sf complex of buildings encompassing nearly an entire city block in Downtown Lexington adjacent to Rupp Arena and the Convention Center. The redevelopment project is financed by Huntington Bank, and is owned by a Joint Venture Partnership between Jeffrey R. Anderson Real Estate, Inc. of Cincinnati and The Webb Companies of Lexington.
